Zenith Multimedia Services are a friendly and professional supplier of computer and related services. We have been established in the Barnet area for over 5 years (previously known as Barnet PC Doctor) and have built up a wide variety of regular clients, mainly by word-of-mouth, from computer novices to businesses. We provide a wide range of services as follows:
COMPUTER REPAIRS
Whatever problem is plaguing your computer, however trivial or catastrophic, don't worry, with our expertise built up over many years, we can get you back up and running in the shortest possible time. Most problems can be rectified on site but where necessary, we will take your computer or laptop away to our workshop and, in most cases, can return a fully working computer to you the next day. We aim to keep your downtime down to the shortest possible time, particularly if the computer is vital to your business.

UPGRADES
If you are looking to upgrade any of your hardware, e.g. adding additional RAM (memory) to speed up your computer; upgrading your graphics card for gaming; adding a DVD rewriter or Blu-Ray drive; upgrading to a flat screen monitor etc.., then we can sort this out for you at the cheapest possible price. We have a number of reliable suppliers and can source any hardware quickly and competitively. We hold a lot of replacement hardware in stock - RAM, DVD Roms, power supplies, hard drives, keyboards, mice etc.. - so upgrades and replacement of failed components can be carried out quickly.
PC SETUP AND INSTALLATION
If you have purchased a new computer and need help installing it and setting it up then we are only too happy to help. We will install everything for you, including connection to printers, scanners, webcams, cameras, i-Pods etc.. We can also set up and connect you to your broadband and set up your email accounts. In addition we can also supply and install virtually any software you might require including antivirus, antispyware, Microsoft Office, DVD playing software, DVD and CD burning software, digital photo software for storing, cataloging and editing etc..
WIRELESS NETWORKS
If you have more than one computer or laptop in your home then you will certainly at some stage require a wireless network to be set up enabling laptops, for instance, to be able to access the internet from anywhere in your home or even garden. We can easily set up such a system for you and supply any hardware that may be required, i.e. wireless router (if your broadband provider has not supplied you with one), wireless USB adaptor (if your PC or laptop does not have built-in wireless). We can also enable you to network your printer so any computer or laptop on your network can print wherever you may be working from.
DATA BACKUP AND RECOVERY
One of the most vital "housekeeping" jobs you have to carry out on your computer is to regularly backup your data. We have lost track of the amount of heartache we have witnessed when clients have lost important data, emails, family photos, college coursework etc.. when a hard drive has catastrophically failed and they have not made any backup. We can set up a simple and quick backup system for you very easily but, at the end of the day, it is up to you to ensure that backups are made at least once a week. The golden rule to follow is to assume that your hard drive can fail at any time! We strongly suggest that anyone who has a large amount of data to backup invests in either an additional internal hard drive for your system dedicated only as data backup, or an external hard drive for the same purpose. We can supply and setup such additional drives at competitive prices. In the event that your computer or hard drive does decide to commit hara-kiri then all may not be lost. We have access to specialised software that can, in many cases, recover data from failed hard drives.
SPEED UP A SLOW COMPUTER
One of the most common complaints we hear from clients with regard to their computer system is that it is running very slow. We can offer a “speed-up” service that will fix the major problems that cause such slowdowns as follows:
LEVEL 1 – spyware scans, organise start-up programmes, delete temporary files and unwanted programmes - £40.00
LEVEL 2 – Level 1 plus registry scans, optimisation of your computer settings and specific advice on upgrading - £50.00
LEVEL 3 – Re-installing including saving your data - £70.00 (minimum depending on how much data needs to be saved and if you have your original installation discs – if not then I have to download etc.. from the internet). This is guaranteed to solve the problem as it restores your computer to it's optimal state as it was when it was brand new. This is always our recommended option for exceptionally slow computers - once completed you will think you have a new computer, especially if you carry out a memory upgrade (see below) at the same time.
Additional Memory
We can fit extra memory to any computer or laptop which is guaranteed to speed up your computer. Prices start at around £14 for a 256Mb upgrade; £18 for a 512Mb upgrade; £29 for a 1Gb upgrade (all depending on the specific type of memory your computer/laptop requires). Prices include installation.
TRAINING
Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced user we can provide a training programme for you individually tailored to you requirements. This would be on a "one to one" basis and would proceed at your chosen pace. We can also provide notes covering your particular training needs. We are friendly and patient so give us a try if you need any training on any aspect of computing.
SUPPLY OF NEW AND REFURBISHED SYSTEMS
Whether you are looking for a new computer system or a cheaper refurbished setup then we can advise, provide and install anything that you require. We are absolutely happy to discuss your requirements in detail at no cost. We can then tailor your requirements to your particular needs and ensure that you are not wasting money buying systems that include components that you do not need. We would then provide you with a detailed quotation with no obligation to yourselves. Please note that if you do decide to order via Zenith Multimedia Services then we will provide a bespoke installation and setup service which is included in the price we quote to you. This service includes installing a special software package on your new computer, at no additional cost, that includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, DVD and CD burning/backup software and a genuine version of Microsoft Office. Note that all our systems come with the same guaranties as you would receive from any major supplier - i.e. new systems fully guaranteed for one year (3 years for some components such as certain hard drives and monitors) and refurbished systems for 3-6 months depending on the specifications. Buying from us also gives you a much quicker and much more convenient response time in the rare case that anything does fail. You will never have to return your equipment to a shop where they could spend days sorting out your problem.
